Frequently Asked Questions

We can tell you everything You Need to Know about Marketing

creating your Website

everything you need to know before beginning your website

What's the cost to building a website?

I hate answering this so generically but it's really the only way to answer. Every website set up is so different and every single one requires a different amount of work. With that said....our set up fees are super affordable and we work with EVERY budget. Being a small business gives us that flexibility.

How Long Does it take to build a website?

Our websites right now are taking anywhere between 6-10 weeks but that is because you are getting one on one attention to detail and none of our websites use the same templates or have the generic same layouts.

Will you communicate with me during the building process?

ABSOLUTELY! We will be in contact from start to finish. I'm here to work with you and the only way this website is successful is if we have an open line of communication. The only time I will stop communicating is if you ask me. Ha!

What Will You Need From Me To Begin?

It really depends on what type of website you want. We’ll be able to discuss this on our discovery call before we start working together. Depending on which package we agree on we could need… Images of you and your team and their profiles. Images of your workplace. Content for the website e.g. text, PDFs etc. Any Videos you would like adding to the website. Login details to your existing website. Some of this might already be on the existing website, in which case it can be transferred over to the new site.

What if I don't like the website?

This can happen. We are aware of that. This is why it's important to keep a line of communicate open at all times during the build. My vision and your vision will NEVER be the same. We are human, we are different and that's okay. So we won't stop working and won't set it live until YOU are satisfied with our work. If we then cannot come to an agreement, you will be refunded half of your set up fee.

Is There a Monthly Fee?

Yes, we charge a monthly fee of $100. This is for hosting, updating the site and the little bit of SEO we do on the backend. Please remember, there are no cost for changes. Changes are unlimited and free whenever needed.

Some common questions on SEO

01.

You said hosting includes SEO why do I have to pay for more?

Yes, your hosting fee covers little SEO but in order to get a deeper SEO program, we will need to do more than what is done with all our websites. Remember, what's done for one cannot be done for all. If you want to stand out, you have to be different and do things differently.

02.

With SEO, How long will it take me to get to the first page of google?

It depends. There’s no clear answer to this question as search engines change their requirements all the time. However, we have had clients get to the first page for their main keywords within 2 days of launching and we’ve had websites take 2–3 months for Google to show them on the first page. However, there is no guarantee you will ever get to the first page of Google for your main keywords, some of your competitors might have huge marketing budgets or have been there for years.

03.

How much does your SEO cost?

It can vary dramatically but our monthly SEO plans begin at $400 per month. This is generally a starter plan for a local business with a moderate amount of competition. It really depends on how much work will be required and how much competition you have in your industry. We can talk more about this on our call when we discuss your needs.

04.

How Will We know If the SEO Is Working?

We monitor it with reporting. You will have 24/7 access to that reporting and every month we will go over the results to make sure they meet not only your expectations but our expectations.

05.

I don't have months to wait to get on the first page of Google. what can I do?

Well, if you don't have the months required to wait for SEO to move you up on Google, we do offer Google AdWords which are almost instant. We cover those questions in the section below.

Some common questions on Google AdWords

01.

What's the different between adwords and SEO?

SEO is a longer term game and involves the correct set up of your website and online presence, ultimately to bring you more organic search and referral traffic. SEO should always be an important element of your digital marketing mix, and it’s often overlooked and underestimated by both business and web developers. Google AdWords is a fast way of bringing in targeted traffic to your website. It is fast to set up, and a far faster way to generate the traffic than SEO (generally). Both should be considered as ongoing investments.

02.

Isn’t AdWords A Waste Of Money? I’ve Tried It And It ‘Never Worked’

Usually when I hear this opinion of AdWords, the root cause is due to either running campaigns in house without the appropriate knowledge, or having a bad experience with a “pile ’em high, sell them cheap with hard sales call tactics” type agency. Running an AdWords campaign without knowing how to use the platform can be a recipe for burning money fast. With the first campaign I ran for a client, I saved almost 50% of their ad spend within minutes as they were serving ads for completely inappropriate search terms. All of those are good metrics but I’ll also sort out your conversion tracking so you can track monetary values, which is the ultimate metric to measure

03.

Can’t I Just Run My AdWords In House?

Of course you can, but re-read the previous answer first. AdWords changes a lot, and it’s very powerful. It can also be very dangerous if you look at the wrong metrics. Even Google tells you a good Click Through Rate is the best metric in one of their help documents. It’s a great one, but return on investment is the ultimate, but it’s usually just a bit more effort to set up. This involves getting Google Analytics set up correctly, and integrating a few platforms to get more data. If you don’t know about all these AdWords features, Google won’t be rewarding you, meaning your campaigns can suffer, meaning you are spending more than you need to. A good campaign structure could quite easily make the difference between a $5 cost per click and $1. I’ve also seen other messy situations as internal campaigns targeting extremely vague keywords, and having competing versions of Adwords running at the same time. To run successful AdWords campaigns takes a lot of investment in time and learning.

Some common questions on Google AdWords

04.

How Do You Charge For Google AdWords Management?

This is based on an individual basis. It depends on YOU. How competitive you want to be. Do you want to dominate or are you okay just sitting back and showing up whenever. This is something you and I will discuss.

05.

I Have An AdWords Campaign Running But I Can’t See My Ads – Is My Agency Ripping Me Off?

Maybe, but probably not if they are reputable. You may not be entering the keywords that have been set up in your account, you may find your budget isn’t enough to reach all searchers, or your ‘quality score’ is lower due to your website, so your ad doesn’t get shown all the time. It may be the advertiser has excluded your internal computer address to improve campaign performance, or not targeting people in the location you are in. There is alot that goes into it. Best way to monitor if they are working is check your reporting. If you are getting traffic and results, then you definitely are not getting ripped off.

Your Social Media Presence

everything you need to know about social media

Why do I even Need Social Media For my business?

We hear it all the time. Some people just aren't fans of social media so they don't think they need it but let’s face it: the world’s gone social. In fact, 30% of all time (and counting) spent online is allocated to social media. If you want to get in front of people, social media is the way to do it. Whether it's for brand awareness, sponsored content, or a combination of both you need to be there.

What Social Media Platforms Do You Recommend?

The short answer: it depends. While Facebook is a great starting point, we like to get to know each client on an individual basis. Because every brand is unique, deciding which platform(s) to spend time on relies on factors like where your audience is, what products and/or services your business provides and the goals you wish to achieve.

I'm worried about bad comments or reviews on my pages.

We hear this often. It's unfortunately the world we live in today. But we can monitor that and make sure that no comments or reviews will be detrimental to your business.

What's the Difference Between an Ad and a Post?

A post is content you share on social media for your followers to see organically. An ad is a paid post to target an audience outside of your followers based on demographics and interests. Because most social media algorithms limit the number of followers who see your business' content organically, we recommend promoting important or relevant posts to guarantee more people will see them. Another great indicator of a post that should be promoted is one that performs well organically. If it's doing well on it's own, putting money behind it will increase its reach.

How many times a week will you post?

This depends on the program you and I decide together. We have programs and packages that allow you to chose how often you want to post online.

Is There a Monthly Fee?

Yes, we have packages for social media posting, management and ads. We have budges for everyone's needs. We can discuss those options individually.

Where do you get the info to post?

We use outside partners for information regarding your industry. We also work with you to bounce ideas off of each other. We make this part of your business as fun and as exciting as we can.
